Ristorante Moderno

Lo Chef

Christian

My name is Christian, and I grew up in Pesaro, in the Marche region. My passion for cooking has its roots in childhood memories of making gnocchi with my mother. Those simple moments gave rise to a genuine connection with this craft, which over the years has evolved into a true profession.

After studying at the Hotel Management School in Pesaro and gaining my first experiences during the summer seasons, I spent six months in London—a period that enriched my journey both personally and professionally. I then moved to Pordenone, where I had the opportunity to work at establishments that played a decisive role in my growth, including Alla Fattoria, Osteria Verdi, Osteria Teston, and, finally, La Casa Gialla.

Every kitchen, every team, and every service has left me with something precious. For this reason, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to all the chefs who believed in me and, with patience and dedication, taught me the value of this profession. A special thought goes to Valerio Moret, Andrea Nadin, Daniele Rigolo, and Eddy Belluz—professionals who played a fundamental role in my training and to whom I am deeply grateful.

Today, I bring to Ristorante Bar Moderno everything I’ve learned along this journey: respect for ingredients, attention to detail, and the desire to offer an experience that combines technique, innovation, and authenticity. For me, cooking means, first and foremost, welcoming people through flavors that tell a story.
